Works in progress

This small brown quilt with flying geese is Migration

The yellow squares will eventually become something the size of a "baby" quilt and I have no idea what will be come of the black and white and blue and yellow bits. And I just discovered there are some similar grey and lavender pieces. Something will happen, eventually.

Red, White & Blue

This will be a little wall hanging. My quilt guild has been asked to make little quilts, quilts of valor for veterans in hospice care. The two blue fabrics really appealed to me and this star really appealed so I figured why not participate. The white fabric was in pieces and I had to dodge markings. I was forced to cut it into small pieces. I think I made good on the challenge.

I have plenty of the diagonal red and white stripes to use for the binding.

Quilting Small

It turns out the exhibit for small quilts -- little temptations is a bit low on quilts, so I am taking that as a good reason to finish this little quilt top which has been unfinished for quilt some time. I think the squares are 1.25 inch half square triangles.

It is rather fun to work on a nice small quilt, though I fear there are going to be quite a few ends to sew in, and I am working with rayon so they will be visible if not well hidden.
